Mug Herbal Teas

From the collaboration with the Saût social project, a brand new line of infusions, selected and recommended by Mug is born.

The herbal teas are made in Cercivento, in the province of Udine, with officinal and aromatic herbs, grown in a natural way with no chemicals, harvested and dried on site.

Very soon, when Mug can finally reopen its doors, you will be invited to taste the first 4 fabulous blends and you will discover that they are so good that you will want to taste them all!

The project, born in collaboration with the Municipality of Cercivento, is articulated on 3 fundamental lines.

 Territoriality

The project is linked to its territory and aims to value its resources and different skills, where ancient knowledge is intertwined with the challenges of modernity, combining tradition, current knowledge and the desire for innovation. It is linked to Cercivento, where most of the operators, the people involved and the association to which the project belongs are based.

Naturalness

The local cultivation of officinal herbs, which are the raw material to create these products, guarantees their absolute naturalness, as it excludes the use of chemical products and fertilizers, provides for manual sowing and harvesting, immediate drying of plants and leaves, obtaining from them the maximum of active principles.

The cultivated land is particularly suitable for a differentiated and quality production, as Cercivento enjoys a sunny and well ventilated exposure and is located in an area far from sources of industrial pollution.

Social value

The realization of the "Saût" project is carried out by the Agricultural Social Cooperative "TAVIELE", which was founded in Cercivento in 2013, with the goal of creating a quality product, involving people with social disadvantage and "different psycho-physical skills", in the awareness of the value of differences and the importance of offering job opportunities, commitment and personal enhancement, especially to those who are more fragile.
